add it in by yourself. Hello family and friends. For those strangers who found their way to my website, here is a short bio of myself. Take a minute and read my story below. Thanks for visiting. Currently I reside in Concord, NC with my wife, the former Christie D. Ouellette of Lakeville, MA and our two children. I am a professional exonumist with an emphasis in milnumia (Challenge Coins) and an interest in geonumia (Geocoins). I work from my home office full-time, and am employed by Challenge Coin Company, LLC. I am the President of Challenge Coin Association and I can help you with your Custom Coin needs. I am also a professional writer. You will regularly find my NASCAR Business Examiner column on examiner.com. Recently I have created Raceway Press and I will be the Managing Editor. Maybe you will also continue to see me writing about Minnesota sports in Bleacher Report. Previously I did a tour in Iraq from January - December 2005. I spent a year there with HHB, 1st Battalion - 102nd Field Artillery Forward, out of Quincy, MA. I had just qualified in Field Artillery as a Fire Direction Controller before they made us be Military Police. If you are curious what I did there, read my resume linked on the upper left part of this page. Before that I was a full-time student at Fitchburg State University. I am currently in the Massachusetts Army National Guard's 26th Yankee Brigade. We are getting ready to deploy soon. The Twin Cities of Minnesota is where I grew up. I lived the longest in Inver Grove Heights, but I also lived in So. St. Paul, St. Paul and Eagan. That explains my love for the Vikings, Golden Gophers, Twins, Timberwolves and the Wild. In my sports career I was All Conference, Honorable Mention in the 119lb weight category for the SSP Packers wrestling team in the St. Paul Suburban Conference in 1991. My dream is to someday buy a sports franchise, or a NASCAR race team. Not too far fetched, is it? Maybe I should settle for sponsoring them? Well, you gotta dream big or you aren't going to accomplish anything. After graduating from High School in 1991, I left for the US Navy. I have been fortunate enough to visit somewhere around 25 countries (give or take, I lose count), on five continents, and I was stationed temporarily in five geographic locations throughout the United States. I also sailed to the hostile waters off of Iraq, Somalia, Haiti, Bosnia and Colombia. I am also proud to have helped in our homeland defense in Operation Noble Eagle just before my honorable discharge as an IT1(SW)/E6. I have had the pleasure to serve on or at Personnel Support Activity Detachment Bermuda, USS America (CV 66), Global Network Operation Center (previously known as TELCOM) Washington, DC, USNS Stalwart (T-AGOS 1), and USS Normandy (CG 60). That is my story, and I am sticking to it. |
